If your child is having difficulty in school, it may not be a learning disability.  It could be your child's eyes.  Some kiddos have trouble bringing their eyes in to do near activities thus making it difficult to understand what they are seeing and not wanting to read, but are more excited to go run and play.  This condition is called convergence insuffiency and can not be identified in a standard eye exam.  Convergence Insuffiency or CI is correctable and without any medication.
