Detoxification Methods to Improve Health

Lack of energy, depression, weight gain, brain fog, digestive disorders such as bloating or indigestion, fatigue, headaches and chemical sensitivities are signs that detoxification could be needed. There are many ways to detox, and some are more involved than others.
One of the most beneficial ways to improve one’s health is to change one’s diet. Changing from a diet lacking in nutritious foods to a diet rich in wholesome foods can make a large impact in one’s health. However, even small changes in diet can lead to positive results. These changes can be as simple as cutting out sugar, wheat, or soda from one’s diet. A whole food, whole body cleanse requires more effort, but will have a greater impact on one’s overall health. A whole food cleanse can be the start of new eating habits for the new year, and can often break the cycle of poor eating habits. In many cases, individuals will have more energy and experience improved overall well-being.
Another popular way to detox is through the use of a far infrared sauna. Sweating is a wonderful way to rid the body of toxins such as pesticides and heavy metals. Infrared saunas help to eliminate more toxins than a tradition sauna because the heat penetrates deeper. It also aids in decreasing muscle tension and promoting muscle relaxation. Additionally, the heat from a sauna increases the heart rate, which in turn speeds up metabolic rate, resulting in more calories burned.
When the lymphatic system is sluggish, dry skin brushing can assist with detoxification. Another way to keep the lymphatic system healthy is with weekly Chi machine sessions. A weekly 10-minute Chi session promotes healthy lymphatic movement and total body relaxation.
